About BrightRoots

BrightRoots is a community-focused service offering compassionate, trauma-informed support to children, adults and families. Our work is driven by the belief that strong emotional foundations create safer, more resilient lives.

Who we are

We are a small team of experienced practitioners who specialise in child development, family systems, and adult counselling. Our team combines professional training with practical experience supporting families in everyday settings.

Mission & values

Our mission is to help people build safety, connection, and confidence. We work with kindness, honesty, and a focus on real-life outcomes — not jargon. Our values include dignity, accessibility, and a commitment to keeping children safe.

Why this service exists

Many families face stressors that quietly affect wellbeing. BrightRoots exists to provide accessible, steady support — early, practical interventions that stop problems from becoming crises and to help families rebuild healthy patterns.

Trauma-informed philosophy

Our practice recognises that behaviour and emotional responses are often adaptations to difficult experiences. We prioritise safety, choice, and empowerment, tailoring strategies to each person's developmental needs and context.

Long-term support

We focus on sustainable change: helping parents and carers develop supportive routines, working with schools where appropriate, and supporting individuals through ongoing therapeutic work when needed.

Accreditations

Lead Therapist Lucinda holds Practitioner Accreditation with the Complementary Therapists Accredited Association (CTAA) (Member No. 10665651) and diplomas from Chilton and KEW Training Academy. Certificate details are available on request.

How we work with you

BrightRoots focuses on short, practical steps that families can use straight away. We combine skilled listening with simple routines and small practice tasks you can try between sessions.
